How to support those in need
Feeling lonely every now and then is part of life. That feeling often goes away on its own. It is different when loneliness persists. Then it can lead to serious health problems such as depression, alcohol addiction, sleep disorders and cardiovascular disease.
Municipalities, social professionals and residents play a crucial role in preventing and reducing loneliness. But what works in tackling loneliness? And how can you get started in a systematic and sustainable way?
In this training we contemplate on our role in the field and how we can bring this to practice and support those in need.
